Daiki Taguchi
I have loved drawing since I was a child and was determined to become a painter when I grew up.
I went to art school almost every day during my school years, and was constantly confronted with painting. And video games.
I painted in Tokyo until I turned 20.
However, I couldn't stand the noise and moved to Kamakura City in Kanagawa Prefecture.
When I moved to Kamakura, the first thing I saw was the beautiful ocean.
I was not interested in the sea until then.
I was not interested in the sea until then because the sea in Tokyo was so polluted that I was not even impressed.
Now Tokyo is much cleaner. Even that.
I was impressed by the sandy beach full of yachts floating and footprints and the beautiful sea.
But unfortunately, I heard from people in Kamakura that the sea is getting polluted little by little due to urban development and environmental pollution.
I decided to paint and preserve the beautiful sea of Kamakura so that future generations will remember the sea as it was then.
With the proceeds from the sales, I was told, “Use the money from the sale of my painting to clean the sea.
I want to be able to say to Kamakura City and Fujisawa City, “No more fishing.
